THE HEALTHY ARMY HEALTHY NATION AWARENESS PROGRAM WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED IN SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)
The Healthy Army Healthy Nation awareness program for enhancing the robustness of Sri Lanka Army personnel was successfully conducted in Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) on 01 June 2017.\r\n\r\nThe program was basically conducted to be made aware of the Officers and Other Ranks of the Wanni Area on the harmful impacts of non communicable diseases, drug addiction and unhealthy foods in addition to acknowledge the way of spending a healthy life.\r\n\r\nA Visiting Physician, Brigadier A S M Wijewardhana USP conducted an invaluable lecture on NCD, drug addiction and the way of preventing from drugs combining with the Psychological Unit which was headed by the Specialist psychologist Colonel R M M Monaragala USP.\r\n\r\nSubsequently, a psychological lecture and the moral drama were conducted by a professional psychological team from Army Hospital – Narahenpita. This worthwhile program was organized with the supervision and guidance of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General Ruwan Kulatunga.\r\n\r\nThe Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers along with large number of Other Ranks in under command formations participated in this awareness program.\r\n
