SFHQ Wanni has started the orientation training programme for 2550 graduates out of 50000 recruited to the public sector. This is in line with HE the President’s ‘Saubhagayaye Dekma’ vision, a worthy programme to produce responsible Govt servants begins under 5 phases such as,
Leadership and Team-Building Training – Conducted at Army training centers
Management Training – Conducted by UGC / Universities
Training in the State sector – Conducted by GA’s / AGA’s and Govt establishments.
Training in the Private sector - Conducted by Private sector establishments (Garments, Finance, Manufacturing and Service fields)
Project work and Field studies – Conducted at Army
Leadership and Team-Building Training is conducted as a residential training package at Army Training centers. 12 Army Training Centers have been allocated in the SFHQ wanni area under the close supervision of the Comd SFHQ wanni Major General Dammika Jayasinghe for this worthy programme, which envisages a national requirement to produce and mold a competent and well-disciplined Govt servant to work for the general public.
The Army training programme accordingly will be launched under five independent but inter-related modules by way of lectures, discussions, outdoor training activities, team building activities, study tours, capability studies and field studies in order to energize the public sector contribution in a dynamic way. Army Training Establishments, University Grant Commission, Ministry of Home Affairs, Selected State & Private Sectors, and a few more state agencies work closely with the project.
The training would also impart knowledge on managerial skills, understanding of the objectives of the government mechanism, commitment, interest and dedication, self-confidence, innovation, flexibility, visualization, respect, and recognition in the society.
