GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 59 INFANTRY DIVISION VISITS 592 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Major General D R N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP General Officer Commanding 59 Infantry Division made an official visit to 592 infantry Brigade on 30 September 2024. He was accompanied by Deputy General Officer Commanding Brigadier K H N P Hannadige RWP RSP psc, Colonel Admin and Quartering Colonel E A U A Amarasekara RSP and Colonel Coordinating Colonel Y M D S Yapa RWP RSP.

Upon his arrival, the General Officer Commanding 59 Infantry Division was welcomed by Brigadier PGCS Gallage RWP RSP, Commander 592 Infantry Brigade keeping with formal military traditions. The General Officer Commanding 59 Infantry Division attended for a detailed briefing by Commander 592 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer 5 (V) SLSR and Commanding Officer 14 (V) GW regarding respective area of responsible, then he visited the respective battalions and Tile factory at Kalamurippu, Oddusudan also. During his visit, he distributed some furniture items to selected low income family in 5 (V) SLSR AOR.
