GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 56 INFANTRY DIVISION VISITS 563 INFANTRY BRIGADE AND SUBORDINATE UNITS

On 30 October 2024, Brigadier M P N A Muthumala USP psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 56 Infantry Division, conducted a formal visit to the 563 Infantry Brigade along with its subordinate units, the 7 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment and the 11 Gamunu Watch (11 GW). This visit aimed to bolster morale, assess operational readiness, and foster cohesion within the units under the 56 Infantry Division’s command.

Upon arrival at the 563 Infantry Brigade Headquarters, General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by Brigadier YMSCB Jayathilaka RSP USP, the Commander 563 Infantry Brigade. Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers, senior non-commissioned officers (SNCOs), and All Ranks, assembled in honor of the GOC’s visit.

After addressing the troops, the GOC conducted field visits to A Company at (Kompavittakulam) of 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 3 Special Forces Training School at (Bogaswewa), as well as A Company at (Nandimitragama) and Company at (Vedivettakallu) of 11 Gamunu Watch.
