GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING -56 INFANTRY DIVISION VISITED ITS UNDER-COMMAND ESTABLISHMENTS

The newly appointed General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division Major General Harendra Ranansinghe RWP RSP ndc made his official visits to respective under command Brigades and Battalions soon after he took over duties at his office.

Respectively he visited 562 Infantry brigade first and subsequently under command battalions of 17(V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 15 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 09 December 2020. On 10 December 2020 he visited 563 Infantry Brigade and under command battalion of 21 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. Amidst his busy schedule he visited the 561 Infantry Brigade and under command battalions of 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 17(V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 11 December 2020 finally, on 12 Saturday he visited the 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

The General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by the Brigade Commanders and Battalion Commanders with due respect on his arrival. Thereafter other formal activities were carried out at each institution. Finally, General Officer Commanding addressed the troops to mark his first visit as the General Officer Commanding after taken over duties at 56 Infantry Division.
