GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 56 INFANTRY DIVISION MADE OFFICIAL VISIT TO 561 INFANTRY BRIGADE

The General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc made a formal visit to the 561 Infantry Brigade and its under command battalions 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment respectively on 05 March 2024.

General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by Commander 561 Infantry Brigade and briefed on area responsibilities and duties. Within the short stay General Officer Commanding signed the Visitors Book at the Officers' mess of 561 Infantry Brigade and left to 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment.

General Officer Commanding was welcome by 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment saluting with Guard Turnout at the main entrance and he addressed troops on welfare of soldiers of his serving period at the 56 Infantry Division. Finally General Officer Commanding marked his visit by planting a 'Sandal wood' sapling.

Second phase of the visit was scheduled to 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, and General Officer Commanding was welcome according to the traditional military customs by Commanding Officer, Officers and all troops of 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment. After all General Officer Commanding visited 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Company's located at Nadunkerny and Puthur.

Brigade Commander - 561 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officers, senior officers of 56 Infantry Division officers and Other Ranks were appeared for the event.
