According to the directions of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu in continuing the practice of giving top most priority for the welfare of soldiers, a donation of providing essential medical equipment for the Field Military Hospital in Security Force Headquarters Wanni, was taken place on 18 May 2019.
Under this charitable programme, two Critical Care Beds were donated by one of the leading businessmen in Kuliyapititya area Mr Senaka Rodrigo who was personally coordinated by the Brigadier General Staff of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) Brigadier Harendra Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc.
Field Military Hospital in Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) is recently renovated military hospital currently facilitating thousands of soldiers employed under Security Force (Wanni). This field military hospital is in a way of developing gradually with high technological medical equipment to facilitate patients efficiently.
The requirement of a Critical Care Bed was a long felt need for the Emergency Treatment Unit since the patients admitted under Emergency condition had to confront several difficulties when getting treatments. In such a needy time a great philanthropist Mr Senaka Rodrigo came forward to donate these two Critical Care Beds for the easiness of treating patients at a critical condition.
At present, the Field Military Hospital in Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) is consisted with many modern facilities and a dedicated medical staff.
Brigadier General Staff Brigadier Harendra Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndc along with Brigadier Administration and Quartering Colonel Indu Samarakoon Lsc Hdmc attended this brief programme of donation while all Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) made their presence too.
