A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour saluted the outgoing General Officer Commanding of 65 Infantry Division Major General D M T B Dissanayake RSP USP in accordance with military traditions during a formal farewell, held at the Headquarters 65 Infantry Division premises on 17 July 2021.
Troops of 10, 19 and 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry battalions were presented the Guard of Honour parade in the parade square at 65 Infantry Division. The Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, all Officers of the 65 Infantry Division HQ and Other Ranks were present to witness the farewell parade and the ceremony.
The outgoing GOC Major General D M T B Dissanayake RSP USP in his address to the troops thanked all ranks for the generous assistance and support, extended to him during his tenure.
