ENSURING A BETTER LIFE FOR THE FAMILY OF PTE MAHESH KUMARA AMCL – 5 SLNG (DECEASED) IN ETHAWETUNUWEWA VILLAGE
Handing over of essential furniture items to family of Pte Mahesh kumara AMCL (deceased) -5 SLNG was held at newly constructed house in Ethawetunuwewa village on 05 February 2017. This generous effort was initiated and sponsored by the former Commander of the Army General SHS Kottegoda WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc,(Rtd) along with Arrya Foundation – Colombo. Total worth of furniture items was approximately Rs. 98,000.00 and the coordination of the donation was done by the General Officer Commanding 62 Division Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc. The event was organized by the officers and other Ranks 62 Division, 14 (v) SLLI & 17 SLNG Battalions.\r\n\r\nFormer Commander of The Army General SHS Kottegoda WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc,(Rtd) General Officer Commanding 62 Division Major General B H M A Wijesinghe USP ndu psc, the Commander 622 Brigade, Members of Arrya Foundation – Colombo, Villages of Ethawetunuwewa,Senior Officers, Officers and Number of Other Ranks from under command Brigades and Battalions were also Present at the Occation.
