Dry Ration distribution program had been organized at Veherathenna by 62 Division on 12 September 2014. During this Program dry ration packs comprised with following items were distributed among 275 families. 05 kgs of Samba rice, Tea powder bags - 200g, 01 kg white flour, 01kg Salt, 01 kg Sugar, 01 kg Dhal, 02 small tins of Salmon, 04 Coconuts, 01 Siddhalepa, 02 card of Panadol.
These items were donated by the Vishaka girls college, Sapugaskanda Ambulapana Ariyarathna thero, Aladeniye Sumanarathana thero, Baragama Ariyadewa thero and Mrs. Priyanthi Samaraweera - The Principle of the college. Teachers, Parents, Students of Visaka college Commander 623 Brigade, Civil Affairs Officer 62 Division and Commanding Officer 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment were participated for the event.
