DONATION OF SCHOOL ITEMS AT A/KOONKETIYAWA PRIMARY SCHOOL

In view of enhancing the educational welfare of students at far off schools in Wanni region, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) under the instruction of Commander Security Force (Wanni) initiating number of donation programmes to distribute essential school items.

In that context, troops of 622 Brigade with the direction of Commander 622 Brigade, Colonel AMCP Wijerathne RWP RSP psc and with the supervision of General Officer Commanding of 62 Division Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe organised a donation programme on 03 January 2020 to distribute essential school items for students at A/Koonketiyawa Primary School.

Samadhi Association Pitakotte, a philanthropic organisation sponsored in donating these items and it was coordinated by Civil Affairs Officer of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) Lieutenant Colonel GAL Kithsiri through his personal affiliation.

Commander 622 Brigade, Colonel AMCP Wijerathne RWP RSP psc made his presence as the chief guest for the event.

Representatives of Samadhi Association Pitakotte, Senior Officers and Officers of 62 Division and 622 Brigade, the Principal of A/Koonketiyawa Primary School along with teachers, students and their parents too were present at the occasion.
