A DONATION PROGRAM WAS TAKEN PLACE AT NANDIMITHRAGAMA AND BOGASWEWA
A worthwhile donation program was held at Bogaswewa School and Army Common Facility Center at Nandimithragama on 23 June 2017 to distribute essential items for the resettled villagers, students and pregnant mothers in Bogaswewa I, Bogaswewa II, Nandimithragama, Namalgama and Salalihinigama.\r\n\r\nNumbers of pregnant mothers were provided nutritious food packs while villagers and school children were being distributed with dry ration packs and much needed stationary items with the financial patronage worth of 3.5 million from island wide well-known company, The House of Maliban.\r\n\r\nThis charitable event was coordinated by one of the prominent military figures during the Humanitarian Operation, Lieutenant General Mendaka Samarasinghe (Rtd). The General Officer Commanding 56 Division Brigadier Tissa Nanayakkara supervised and guided his under command troops to organize the occasion.\r\n\r\nManager (Operation) - Mr. Bandula Perera, Manager (Human Resource and Administrative) – Mr. Rohana Wijesuriya with 20 staff members from the House of Maliban, the Commander 563 Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers and large number of civilians gathered in this program.\r\n\r\n
