A DONATION PROGRAM AT SAMPATHNUWARA NATIONAL SCHOOL
Hilton Hotel and Resort Colombo distributed foot cycles with the assistance and guidance of 14 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry which is under command to 621 Brigade.\r\n\r\nThe distribution program facilitated the students of four remote schools in Walioya Divisional Secretariat and the event took place at Sampathnuwara National School on 21 October 2016. \r\n\r\nThis was an invaluable donation for the students and 51 foot cycles were distributed as follows,\r\n\r\nStudents of Sampathnuwara National School were distributed 19 cycles among the Male Students while 06 cycles were given to the Female Students.\r\n\r\nAs well as, 02 Male Students and 04 Female Students of Ethawetunuwewa School were given 06 cycles for their day to day usage.\r\n\r\nIn addition to that 11 cycles were distributed among Male and Female students of Kaliyanpura School.\r\n\r\nAs the last distribution, 02 Male and 06 Female students of Gajabapura School were provided 08 foot cycles.\r\n\r\nThis was an immense donation for the students of all four schools and most of the students in the area were facing plenty of transportation problems when they were going to the school.\r\n\r\nThe Commander of 621 Brigade, Commanding Officer of 14 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Commanding Officer of 17 Sri Lanka National Guard and many Senior Officers and Officers participated in the event with respective representatives of Hilton Hotels and Resort Colombo.
