Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) under the direction of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri ndu psc is launching several social welfare activities to facilitate people in Wanni region. Uplifting the education of students at far off areas is one such activity conducting under the patronage of Commander Security Force (Wanni).
As another step forward for enhancing the education of student, 21 Division organized a donation campaign to distribute essential school items for needy students at Netiyagama School in Mihinthale on 26 January 2020. The ceremony was held at the auditorium of Rajarata University Mihinthale.
The donation was sponsored by two philanthropists living in Canada Mr Mahinda Bandara Dissanayake and Mis Jayanthi Dissanayake and it was coordinated by General Officer Commanding 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirane RSP through his personal affiliation.
75 students of Netiyagama School were beinifted through this programme and it was organised under the instructions of Commander 212 Brigade Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc and with the supervision of General Officer Commanding 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirane RSP.
General Officer Commanding 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirane RSP graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Commanding Officer 7 (V) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Civil Affairs Officer and Senior Officers of 21 Division, Assistant Director of Planning, Divisional Secretariat - Mihintale Assistant Registrar and Senior Assistant Registrar Rajarata University - Mihinthale, OIC Police Station Mihinthalaya, The Principal and Teachers of Netiyagama School along with students and their parents too were present at the occasion.
