542 Infantry Brigade of the 54 Infantry Division donated dry ration packs for 75 low income families in Silawathura, Mannar on Saturday16 Oct 2021, as another welfare activity.
Financial contribution for this event was arranged by Vidyartha and Royal College Colombo Old Boys Associations of University of Sri Jayawardhanapura, and All island Sri lankan friends, with the coordination of Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya.
The event was organized by 542 Inf Bde in 8 VIR AOR under the supervision of GOC 54 Inf Div, with the blessings of the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Maj Gen Champaka Ranasinghe. GOC 54 Inf Div Maj Gen UD Wijesekara RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Bde Comd 542 Inf Bde, Col Coord 54 Inf Div, Senior Officers and Mr. Prasad Lokubalasooriya with few members of Old Boys Associations and their family members participated for the event.
Further six special dry ration packs were also donated for the temples in Mannar District.
