Dry ration and Baby care equipment were handed over to 50 pregnant mothers of Ehatugaswewa at Dewagiry Rajamaha Viharaya on 31 August 2019. This event was implemented with the direction and guidance of the Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe General Officer Commanding 62 Division.This was a purely a charity project organized by the troops of 14 (V) SLLI. Financial assistance for the charity was sponsored by K Piyantha Dayananda and Family in Kadugannawa.
Chief incumbent of the Dewagiry Rajamaha Viharaya Thero with other theros, General Officer Commanding 62 Division Maj Gen Dhammika Jayasinghe, Commander 621 Brigade, Military Officers, Other Ranks, Medical Officer, staff of Sampathnuwara Hospital, Contributors and Villagers participated at the event. Event coordination was done by the 62 Division, 621 Brigade and 14 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
