DONATING ESSENTIAL GOODS AND EQUIPMENTS TO PREGNANT WOMEN IN SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) AREA

Commemorating the nobal Poson Poya Day, the troops of Security Force (Wanni) organized a programme to donate essential goods and equipments for pregnant women in Security Force (Wanni) area on Saturday (03) at Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) with under the guidance and supervision of the Commander, Security Force (Wanni), Major General Champaka Ranasinghe.

The event was commenced after invoking Pansil by the Rev. Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero on who were presented for the donation programme. During the programme 140 essential goods and equipment packs, worth over Rs: 25,000.00 a pack, including 21 items, essential for new born babies were donated to 140 pregnant women. Financial contributions were also provided for this programme by Taiwani Theravadi Samadhi Buddhist Organisation. This event was co-ordinated by Rev. Dr. Boddagoda Chandima Thero, Vice Chancellor of Nagananda University and the president of Taiwani Theravadi Samadhi Buddhist Organisation.

In this ceremony the lunch was provided to those pregnant women and their relatives who were participated. 40 members of Taiwanese Nationals of Taiwani Theravadi Samadhi Buddhist Organisation attended for the ceremony and donation of goods and equipments were donated under the guidance of the Commander, Security Force (Wanni) Major General Champaka Ranasinghe. Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Staff Officers and the Other Ranks of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) were presented the ceremony.
