DONATED DRY RATION PACKS FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN 54 INFANTRY DIVISON

With the blessings of the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General CD Ranasinghe RWP RSP and guidance from General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division Major General UD Wijesekara RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commanders of 541, 542 and 543 Infantry Brigades organized a dry ration packs donation campaign for low income families living in the Mannar District. The campaign was organized in parallel to the Vesak festival and the main event was held in Mathota Rajamaha Viharaya on 14 May 2022. All religious representatives, Government Agent Mannar District, Mrs Stanley De Mel graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, Divisional Secretary Mannar, Senior Superintend of Police Mannar, Commander 541 Infantry Brigade, Volunteer Coordinator and Civil Affairs Officer 54 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers, Officers, Grama Niladharis and low income families participated in the event. 542 and 543 Infantry Brigades organized the event with the supervision of Brigade Commanders parallel to the main event in their areas on the same day.
