With the intention to support rural area students and low income families, programme was conducted at Halabewewa Dharmadhipa Valimaluwa temple on 27 May 2023.
At the outset 50 number of school accessories, one set of school accessories worth Rs. 8000, total worth of Rs. 400,000.00 were distributed among primary school children at M/ Halabewewa Primary School. The programme was sponsored by Mr Sumudu Perera, Mr Manjula Bamunuarachchi and Mr Iresh Dayarathne.
The programe was scheduled as per the instructions and the direction of General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division Major General Janaka Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc and the supervision of Commander 622 Infantry Brigade Colonel Udaya Kollongahapitiya USP. The event was organized by the Commanding Officer, Maj S P Samarakkodi 9th Battalion Gajaba Regiment.
