DISTRIBUTION OF ESSENTIAL RATION PACKS FOR 150 LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN BOGASWEWA 1 VILLAGE

Troops of 7 SLSR distributed 150 dry ration packs each worth of 3500 rupees for 150 low-income families in Bogaswewa 1 village, who were in a harsh condition during the movement restrictions period for Covid 19 pandemic situation in the country on 20th June 2021.This programme was held on the concept of the Chief of Defence Staff, the Commander of the Army and with the guidance of the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) Major General D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP, along with the instruction of the General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Major General A A D N S P Dunuwila RWP RSP USP, coordination of the Commander 563 Infantry Brigade Brigadier KPA Perera RSP and the supervision of the Civil Affairs Officer of 563 Infantry Brigade Lieutenant Colonel MACP Marasinghe and the Commanding Officer 7 SLSR Major M A J M Perera RWP RSP psc SLSR. Moreover, headquarters56 Infantry division, headquarters 563 infantry brigade and 21 SLSR also gave their contribution for this program by giving essential rations to prepare ration packs.

Civil Affairs Officer of the 563 infantry Brigade,Commanding Officer and the Second In Command of the 7SLSR, Commanding Officer of the 21 SLSR Major M P S K Nilmalgoda RWP USP, along with the 15 Soldiers also participated for this event .
