DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION PACKETS AT WEHERATHENNA VILLAGE
Two hundred and thirty one packs of dry ration were distributed among the families in Weherathenna village on 18 July 2014. On a request of General Officer Commanding 62 Division, “Jyagrahanaya foundation†had donated more than Rs. 200,000/= for this. Worth of each pack was nearly Rs. 975/= and it was contained with 05kg of rice, 250g of dhal, 500g of sugar, a packet of tea (50g), 150g of dry fish, a packet of biscuits and a packet of soya meet. Items were donated during a sociable event organized at 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Headquarters premises with the witness of donors of “Jyagrahanaya foundationâ€, Mr. Jeewaka Bandara, Mrs. Leela Darman Prema, Mrs. Sanjeewika and the Commander Security Force (Wanni) and Competent Authority of Resettlement of Displaced Personnel in Northern Province Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding of 62 Division, Brigadier KGD Perera RWP RSP USP, Commanding Officer 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and large gathering of villagers.
