A dry ration donation programme was conducted by troops of the 621 Infantry Brigade and troops of the 14 Sri Lanka light Infantry under the 62 Infantry Division on 16. 07. 2021 as per directions of the Major General Upali Gunasekara General Officer Commanding of 62 Infantry Division. The programme was held at Medical Officer of Health office Padaviya.
Instruction given by the commander 621 Infantry Brigade to organize a donation program for pregnant mothers who are in low income family suffered due to current pandemic situation in the Brigade area Mr Jaliya Bodinagoda, Mrs Jayathri Bodinagoda, Miss M Senadeera, Mrs S Abeyrathna, Mr Supun de Silva, Mrs Eshani de Silva, Mrs Pradeepa Jayathilake provided assistance to purchasing food items. 50 nutrition packs were distributed among the pregnant mothers.
The Commander 621 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Keerthi Parakum and Civil Affairs Officer 621 Infantry Brigade, Second in Commander 14 Sri Lanka light Infantry, Doctor Chandana Dewappriya, Chief Midwife Ms Nirosha participated in the distribution programme.
