DISTRIBUTION OF AGRICULTURAL ITEMS, RATION PACKS, AMONG VILLAGERS IN WEHERATHENA
Rajawelle Suboothi Thero accompanied Gayonashilalo Thero in Ishikawa temple - Japan visited Weherathenna village on 3rd October 2014. Troops Of 26 SLSR organized an event to distribute agricultural items, ration packs among villagers which donated by the delegations of Japan. Total number of families benefited were 100. Each family were given with a goods pack which consist of 1 x Plastic Basin , 1 x Coconut Scoop, 1 x Small Frying Pan, 01 x Large Frying Pan, 01 x Aluminum Scoop, 2 x piece of Soaps, 1 x Washing Brush, 2 x Towels, 2 x Tooth Brushes, 1 x Tooth paste tube, 2 x Bic Razors, 1 x Hairpin, 10 Kg Of Rice, 1 x Rake, 1 x Mamoty and a Water Sprinkling Bucket. Total value for above items were Rs 427600.00. The Agricultural society at Weherathenna village was given 10 x Wheel Barrows, 10 x Digging, Tools 10 x Crow Bars and 20 x Catties. Total value of items were Rs 62500.00 The CAO of 62 DIV, CO 26 SLSR also present at this event.
