The 653 Infantry Brigade of the 65 infantry Division donated 320 dry ration packs for low income families in Periyapandiwirichchan (E), Periyapandiwirichchan (W), Periyathampanei and Sinnapandiwirichchan Grama Niladhari Division under Madhu & Wengalacheddikulam Divisional Secretariat Offires in Vavuniya and Mannar districts on Sunday 19 June 2022.
The financial contribution for this event was provided by the Sri Lanka Sri Siddhartha Foundation and Tan Ngk Buay & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited (Singapore). The event was organized and coordinated by the 653 Infantry Brigade and 24th Battalion of Gajabha Regiment under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding 65 infantry Division and with the blessings of the Commander SFHQ (W), Major General CD Ranasingha RWP RSP.
The General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Division, Major General KA Samarasiri RWP RSP USP psc, Brigade Commander 653 Infantry Brigade DNC Serasingha RSP USP, Commanding Officer 24th Battalion of Gajabha Regiment, Lt Col LHWBI Silva RWP RSP, Civil Affairs Officer 65 infantry Division, Civil Affairs Officer - 653 infantry Brigade, Senior Officers and Divisional Secretary (Madhu), Other government servants in the area and 30 x Other Ranks of 653 Infantry Brigade and 24th Gajaba Regiment participated for the programme.
