DIRECTOR GENERAL GENERAL STAFF (OVERLOOKING) / QUARTER MASTER GENERAL AND MASTER GENERAL ORDNANCE OFFICIALLY VISITED THE SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)

Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Director General General Staff (Overlooking) and Quarter Master General and Major General AK Rajapaksa RSP, Master General Ordnance made an official visit to Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) on 01May 2024. The Principal Staff Officers were warmly welcomed by Major General WPADW Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commander Security Forces (Wanni).

The DGGS (Overlooking) / QMG, and MGO first arrived at the 3D Hall of the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni)) and day’s proceedings commenced with the welcome speech delivered by the Major General WMPM Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu General Officer Commanding 59 Infantry Division. The first session of the conference was focused on matters related to General Staff branch and the second session was focused on matters related to Admin and Quartering branch. During the conference, all important and pending matters related to both the branches were discussed. In addition, valuable thoughts were shared to improve knowledge and general understanding of officers in areas related to security, training, admin and logistics.

After discussion both the Principal Staff Officers visited ‘Model Billets’ constructed for Other Ranks and Solar power project established in SFHQ (Wanni). The Commander Security Force (Wanni) presented special mementos to the visiting DGGS (Overlooking) / QMG and MGO. Finally, the DGGS (Overlooking) / QMG, and MGO penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors' book prior to their departure.

GOCs of 21 and 59 Infantry Divisions, Logistics Commander (Wanni), Deputy GOCs of 56 and 64 Infantry Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Snr Staff Officers of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni), Colonel General Staff and Colonel Admin and Quartering of under command Infantry Divisions and Commanding Officers of Affiliated and Logistics Battalions joined the conference.
