As part of the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) community development program, Major General CD Ranasinghe RWP RSP successfully handed over another new house to Ms. Shantha and her family in Rasendrakulam, Vavuniya.
The task of constructing this house was completed by the Commanding Officer Major GWASL De Alwis of the 17 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and his troops in accordance with the instructions of the General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division, Major General HGPM Kariyawasam RSP ndc psc IG, and under the supervision of Commander 562 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier JMA Jayasekera RSP USP.
On the intervention of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP and as per the instructions of Vavuniya District Secretary Mr PASarathchandra fully fledged house was built on 40 perches of government owned land allocated by Vavuniya Divisional Secretary Mr. N Kamaladasan.
Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General CD Ranasinghe RWP RSP graced the house-warming ceremony as the chief guest, and keys were handed over to the beneficiary family after lighting a traditional oil lamp and unveiling the plaque. The General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders of the 561, 562, and 563 Infantry Brigades, Commanding Officers, senior and junior officers, Divisional Secretary Mr. N. Kamaladasan Vavuniya Division, generous donors who made this event a success, house beneficiaries' relatives, and many distinguished guests attended this ceremony. Officers of various ranks and Major GWASL De Alwis received mementos of appreciation upon the event's conclusion.
