DAWN OF THE NEW YEAR TO SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)
\r\nThe series of occasions were organized by the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) to mark the dawn of New Year on 01 January 2017.\r\n\r\n As the first segment of events, a Pirith chanting was taken place and followed by an arms giving at auditorium with the participation of the Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General J R Kulathunga RSP ndc psc.\r\n\r\n The Pirith chanting and arms giving campaigns were headed by the chief incumbent of Arisimale monastery, Ven. Panamure Thilakawansha thero.\r\n The formal event was started with the flag hoisting and the swearing the oath of state service on 02 January 2017. Then, the Commander addressed the gathering under the theme on Eradication of Poverty in 2017 and subsequently, all the members were gathered in the formal address of His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena.\r\n\r\n Afterwards, the Commander participated in an all rank tea party at the Auditorium.\r\n\r\n As the final event, the Commander visited ‘Abhimansala – Anuradhapura’ to observe the well-being of disabled war heroes.\r\n
