The Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP as the Overall Coordinator of Prevention of Covid - 19 in the District of Vauniya presided the coordinating conference on 24 April 2021 at the District Secretariat Office - Vauniya with the participation of District Secretary - Vavuniya Mr S M Saman Bandulasena, Deputy General Inspector – Vavuniya, Regional Director of Health Services and other government officials.
The purpose of the meeting is to control the Covid - 19 pandemic in the district. There Regional Director of Health service Dr Mahendran briefed the situation and he further emphasized the importance of adhering health instructions to prevent the rapid spreading of the disease among the community. There after all members discuss the prevailing situation of the pandemic and measures to prevent it in the district.
