COVID-19 cases continue to surge in many parts of the country, troops of the Security Force HQ - Wanni with a view to readying for any emergency converted the 5 places to serve as Intermediate Care Centre (ICC) as directed by the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP and supervising of the General Officer Commanding of the 21 ,54 and 56 Divisions.
The SFHQ-Wanni Troops converting several such places in the North Central Province and North Province SFHQ (Wanni) area. In order to face any contingencies, related to COVID-19 cases.
The converted Place in Economic Center Vavuniya consists of 200 beds, Turkey City Private School Manner consists of 120 beds, Wahamalgollewa consists of 250 beds, Civil Security defense Force Galkiriyagama consists of 150 beds and civil security defense Force Nithiyagama mihinthale consists of 100 beds. Its establishment was supported by the District Secretary and the Regional Director of Health Services for Anuradhapura and Vavuniya.
