The troops of the 10th (Volunteer) Gamunu Hewa Brigade located in the 541 Infantry Brigade area under the Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni contributed to the annual 'Kathina Pooja Pinkama' at Mathota Rajamaha Temple on 17th and 18th November 2023.
54 Infantry Division Commander Major General K.M.P.S.B. Kulatunga RSP NDC PSC and 541 Infantry Brigade Commander Colonel B.Y.C. Fernando RWP USP and Commanding Officer of 10 (Volunteer) Infantry Brigade Major W.G.G.S. Under the leadership of Bandara, the troops of that unit contributed their labor for this charity program.
More than 600 Buddhist devotees living in Gampaha, Ja Ala, Padukka and Anuradhapura participated in this annual 'Kathina Cheeva Puja Pinkama'.
Reverend Ambagahava Sangharakkhita Thero, the head of Mathota Rajamaha Viharaya, conducted the sermon of this Katina Cheevara Pooja.
The Commander of 54 Infantry Division, Commander of 543 Infantry Brigade, officers and other officers serving under 54 Division, troops of Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force and police officers were also present for this charity program.
