Chief Incumbent of the Wilpattu Wijayatilake Temple, Chief Justice of the North and North Central Province, SevaKeerthi, Samasuri and Justice of Peace All Island Venerable Maha Vilachchiye Wimala Thero requested to the construction works of the Buddha mandiraya, Bell Tower, Eth Paura, Awasa Kutiya, Damsabha Mandapaya Danasalawa, Ginihalgeya and Store Room at the temple from Commander 542 infantry brigade. After 6th December 2020 laying the foundation for the construction with the contributions of personal donation of family members, relatives and friends of Commander 542 Infantry Brigade. Construction works done by troops of 542 Infantry Brigade.
With the invitation of Commander 542 Infantry Brigade Brigadier K W S Perera RWP, Commander 54 Infantry Division Major General A A I J Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu was declared opened the constructed Buddha mandiraya, Bell Tower, Eth Paura, Awasa Kutiya, Damsabha Mandapaya on 26 May 2021. After Commander 542 Infantry Brigade Brigadier K W S Perera RWP was declared open Danasalawa, Ginihalgeya and Store Room on 23 July 2021. Coinciding with this day, 40 dry ration packs and dinner packets were donated to low income civilians living in the village under the patronage of the Commander 542 Infantry Brigade.
