At the request of the MN / Thevanpiddy Roman Catholic Tamil Mixed School, 19th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry completed the last stage of constructions of the front perimeter wall and outdoor stage of the school under the guidance and supervision of the General Officer Commanding - 65 Infantry Division, Major General Tikiri Dissanayake and Commander - 651 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Wasantha Bandara.
In appreciation of the service rendered to the school, Commanding officer - 19 SLLI, Lieutenant Colonel Lasantha Senevirathne and Lance Corporal Amarasinghe APS who decorated the open stage with colorful paintings was specially honored at the annual prize giving day on 9 April 2021.
The Chief Guest most Rev. Dr. Fidelis Lionel Emmanuel Fernando Bishop of Mannar had presented special mementos and highly appreciated the support given to the school by the Army.
