562 Infantry Brigade Headquarters and 15(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment extended their helping hand to the unemployed low income families of Marawankulam village by conducting awareness programme on self-employed jobs opportunities on 14th May 2023 at Marawankulam Government Tamil Medium School on request of the president of Elders society of the Marawankulam.
This awareness programme conducted on targeting following job opportunities by Mrs Thusari Muthumali the chairman of the Himansa Foundation.
Manufacturing of Candles.
Manufacturing of Cloth floor carpets.
Manufacturing of wicks.
Manufacturing of joss sticks.
Manufacturing of wax lamps.
In addition, troops of 15(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment educated participants on manufacturing of compost Fertilizer.
The Commander 562 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier JMA Jayasekera RSP USP graced the occasion as the chief guest. Civil Affair Officer of 562 Infantry Brigade, The Commanding Officer of 15(V) Sri Lanka Singhe Regiment, Senior Officers, Development Officer of Marawankulam, Key personnel of village societies and considerable amount of villagers attended to the programme.
