CONDUCTED THE SPECIAL RESERVE PLATOON COURSE TO ENHANCE FIGHTING POWER OF SF (W)

To develop the fighting power of the Infantry, it requires enhancing a physical component and combat power by increase the manpower, equipment, training and readiness. In present day context military training is paramount important for maintain operational readiness. Accordingly, keeping that on view, with the direction of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP, the Special Reserve Platoon Course conducted at BTS, Pampaimadu from 02 May 2022 to 07 June 2022. The course comprises with 5 X platoon contributed by a Division each.

The curriculum at the course included lectures and practical sessions on handling of GPS, Self Defense Methods, Unarmed Combat, VIP Protection, Introduction of Explosives and Demolition, Handling of Weapons, Firing, Rules of Engagements, Special Operation Procedures and Internal Security. The closing remarks of the course was done by 07 June 2022 the Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP Commander Security Forces (Wanni) and following Officers and Other Ranks were awarded trophies.
