CONDUCTED A DISASTER RELIEF OPERATION

The troops of 5th (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry with the participation of the villagers of Nabadagasdigiliya, launched a disaster relief operation on 07 November 2021 with the request made by Divisional Secretary – Mahawilachchiya, to clear the canal starting from the sluice gate of Nabadagasdigiliya Tank which was blocked by moss (japan jabara) in order to prevent the breaking of tank bund.

This programme was organized according to the instruction and guidance of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasingha RWP RSP and General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division Major General W R M M Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ndu with the close supervision of the Commander 213 Infantry Brigade Col L G J N Ariyathilaka RWP RSP.
