CONDUCT A PROGRAMME FOR INTRODUCTION OF TUG OF WAR GAME FOR SCHOOL TEACHERS

5 (V) GR troops organized a programme for introduction of Tug of War game for school teachers, as per the instructions and directions of Major General Janka Ranasinghe General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division and The President of the National Tug of War Federation with the supervision of 623 Infantry Brigade Headquarters, 5 (V) GR Horowpothana with the theoretical and practical sessions. There were 42 school sports instructors of Horowpothana, Medawachchiya, Padaviya, Sri Puara, Kebithigollewa and Kahatagasdigiliya were participated for the event. And also, 28 army physical training instructors of 62 Infantry Division were participated for the training session.

Further, General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division awarded certificates to all participants. Mr Sampath Dissanayaka (development director of zonal education office Kebithigollewa), CAO 62 Infantry Division, CAO 623 Infantry Brigade, SO 2 (Log) 62 Infantry Division and CO 5 (V) GR also participated to the event.
