In remembrance of the Sri Lanka Army personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for the restoration of peace in the motherland, the Sri Lanka Army annually conducts commemorative events throughout the month of May.
As part of this noble initiative, the 7th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (7 SLSR) organized a school cleaning and tree planting program at Marathodai Primary School in Omanthai on 9 June 2025. The event was conducted on the school premises with the active participation of the Commanding Officer of 7 SLSR, Lieutenant Colonel M K D P P K Kankanige RWP RSP USP psc, along with Officers and Other Ranks from the battalion.
