COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WANNI) COMMENCED HIS OFFICIAL VISIT TO 54 INFANTRY DIVISION

The Commander Security Force (Wanni), Major General J P C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, made his first official visit to 54 Infantry Division and under command Brigades on 06 July 2024 after assuming the duties of his office.

The General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division, Maj Gen M T I Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, Brigade Commanders of 541, 542 and 543 Infantry Brigades, Staff Officers of 54 Infantry Division and the Commanding Officers extended a warm welcome to the Commander, Security Force (Wanni) on his arrival to the camp premises.

The Commander - Security Forces (Wanni) addressed the under command troops of the 54 Infantry Division and emphasized training, maintaining discipline and behaving with responsibility to ensure the dignity of the victorious Sri Lanka Army. Further, he elaborated on how to maintain a balance between army life and personal life and responsibility towards the nation. Subsequently, he planted a Mango sapling in front of the office complex to mark the visit and appeared for a group photograph. Thereafter, a comprehensive briefing conducted by the General Officer Commanding, Colonel General Staff and the Intelligence Officer of 54 Infantry Division.

Finally, the Commander, Security Force (Wanni) visited the AOR of 542 and 543 Infantry Brigades as the last segment of the days programme.
