Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP, Commander Security Force (Wanni) made his official visit to 62 Infantry Division on Tuesday (24) with the objective of addressing the troops, and he was received by Major General R A J N Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 62 Infantry Division.
The Commander Security Force ^Wanni& was saluted according to the military traditions with a Drive Pass at the main entrance of the Division Headquarters and he addressed the troops of both Officers and Other Ranks of Division Headquarters, Brigades and Battalions serving under the 62 Infantry Division by highlighting the importance of being a disciplined and economically sound soldier.
He symbolically marked his visit by planting a “Mango” sapling at 62 Infantry Division premises and then visited to firing range in the camp, finally conducted discussion with Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers.
