THE COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) VISITED MANNAR
The Commander Security Force (wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Competent Authority for resettling Internal Displaced Personnel in Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP ndu psc visited 54 Division area (Mannar) on 22 January 2014. Initially he had a conference with General Officer Commander 54 Division Brigadier K M Udhayantha Wijerathne USP ndu. General Officer Commander 54 Division briefed about the way of reacting if an emergency or disaster situation. After that there was a nice riot control demonstration. It was conducted by troops of 25 Gamunu Watch Regiment.
The Commander Security Force (Wanni) visited to 542 Brigade and declared open new holiday bungalow which was constructed by 542 Brigade and he visited to supervise resettlement programme in Mullikulam and Silawathura villagers. All Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers under 54 Division also attended to this progarmme.
