Major General Jagath Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc prior to relinquish mat from duties as the Commander – Security Force (Wanni) made the formal visits to Headquarters 56, 21 Divisions and Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) respectively on 17 November 2019.
During the visit Commander Security Force (wanni) was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding of 56 Division, Brigadier Jaliya Senarathne RWP RSP and bestowed with a Guard Turnout. Afterwards, the Commander Security Force (Wanni) addressed the troops of 56 Division and subsequently gathered in an all rank tea party.
The next visit was to 21 Division and there the General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirane RSP warmly welcomed the Commander and accompanied him for an address of troops under 21 Division. Thereafter an all rank tea party was arranged for the Commander Security Force (Wanni).
On the way back, Commander Security Force (Wanni) made the day’s final visit to Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) and there he was warmly received by the Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) Major General Rasika Karunathilake psc. The same events organised at 21 and 56 Divisions was existed.
Commanders of respective Divisions, Brigade Commanders Battalion Commanders along with several Senior Officers and large number of Other Ranks made their presence during the visits to their respective Divisions.
