COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) AWARDED DESHA KEERTHI LANKA PUTHRA TITLE
The commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc was awarded with ‘Desha Keerthi Lanka Puthra’ honorary title for his yeoman service for the community in Northern Region and nation by Mahanayake of Ramanna Chaptor Agga Maha Panditha Most Ven. Napana Pemasiri Thero at ‘Sanda Hiru Seya’ premises on 01st April 2016 evening.\r\n\r\nPrior to the event, the permanently disable war heroes those who have contributed their entire youth for the nation, at Abhimansala were offered with new clothes, traditional Sinhala sweets by the Chief Prelate of Sulugulu Viharaya Mihinthalaya, Anuradhapura Dhammarama Thero accompanied by the villagers of Galmaduva. They carried all the gifts in hampers by using Sinhala traditional methods for celebrating upcoming Sinhala Hindu New Year.\r\n\r\nThe prime programme was commenced in the evening at the ‘Sanda Hiru Seya’ after the gathering was observed five precepts by Mahanayake of Ramanna Chaptor Agga Maha Panditha Most Ven. Napana Pemasiri Thero. After the guests lighted the traditional oil lamp, The Chief Prelate of North Central Province The Most Venerable Pothane Dhammananda Thero welcomed all the participants. The Consellor the ‘Amadam Sisila Sasana Punarjeewana Foundation’ Ven. Anuradhapura Dhammarama Thero explained the objective of the ceremony and Aggamaha Saddhammajothika Dhaja, Tripitaka Vagishvaracharya, Upadhyaya Dhurandara ,Mahopadaya, Pandith, the most Venerable Welamitiyawe Dharmakirthi Sri Kusala Dhamma Thero and The Anunayaka of of Ramanna Chaptor, Chief prelate of Ambepussa Mudalindraramaya, Madithiyawela madhankara Thero made speeches at the occasion.\r\n\r\nThe dedicated service of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) as the Competent Authority for rehabilitation in Northern Province was highly appreciated.rnrnAfterward, with the invitation of the Most Ven. Dr. Aththangane Rathanapala Chief Prelate , letters patent of the honorary title was read out by the Ven. Secretary of Ramanna chaptor, Rajakiya Panditha Matale Dhamma Kusala Thero and the Commander Security Force (Wanni) was awarded with the honorary title by Mahanayake of Ramanna Chaptor Agga Maha Panditha Most Ven. Napana Pemasiri Thero. \r\n\r\nThe Chief Prelates and Bishop Norbert Marshall Andradi, O.M.I. Bishop of Anuradhapura were among the chief guest. More than five hundred of Buddhist Monks as well as thousands of civilians and army personnel had participated the event and all the civilians enjoyed the alms hut (Dansela) at the end of the event.
