A Civil-Military coordinating conference was held on 05th January 2022 at the Mahaweli Auditorium Sampathnuwara, chaired by General Officer Commanding – 62 Infantry Division, Major General Upali Gunasekera RWP USP IG.
The conference was convened to discuss the matter pertaining to the Green Agriculture and strategies to be adopted, use of Organic Fertilizer for the farming within Padaviya, Sampathnuwara, Padavi Sripura and Kuchchaveli Divisional Secretaries areas.
The officials present at the meeting were Divisional Secretary - Padaviya and Sampathnuwara, Deputy Resident Project Manager Mahaweli L Zone, Assistant Planning Director Pulmudai and the government officials of Agriculture. And also, Commanders of 621 and 623 Infantry Brigades, Brigadier Coordinating Officer (Voluntary) Security Force (Wanni), and Colonel Coordinating Officer (Voluntary) 62 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers and Civil Affairs officers participated for the conference.
