CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF ADDRESSES SECURITY FORCE – (WANNI)

The Chief of Defense Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, was extended a warm welcome by Major General C D Ranasinha RWP RSP the Commander Security Force (Wanni) on 15 October 2022 at Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) premises.

While addressing the troops, the Chief of Defense Staff appreciated all officers and other ranks who attended numerous projects, endeavors, launched by the Chief of Defense Staff during his tenure as the 23rd Commander of the Sri Lanka Army.

At the meantime, the Chief of Defense Staff conveyed his gratitude to all troops who engaged in the operations conducted to control the spreading of Covid-19 pandemic.

Further, he stressed that the professional and responsible discharge of duties by all troops island wide, during the prevailed challenging period could minimize unexpected eventualities and brought solace to the general public.

In conclusion of his visit a memento exchange was taken place between Commander Security Force (Wanni) and the Chief of Defense Staff, followed by a group photograph and Signing of the Visitors Book.

All GOCs, Commander FMA (N/C), Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks under Command to SFHQ (Wanni) were presented at the occasion.
