CHAIRMAN JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE PAKISTAN VISITED TO ANURADHAPURA
General Rashad Mahmood ,(NICM), the Chairman joint chief of Staff Committee (CICSC), Pakistan visited Anuradhapura on 10 April 2014, as a part of his brief visit to the Sri Lanka. During his expedition to Anuradhapura, he visited Jaya Sri Maha Bodiya and obtained blessings from Atamasthana Nayake thero along with his contingent. General Rashad Mahmood did pay a courtesy call on the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Competent Authority for Resettling Internal Displaced Personnel in the Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP ndu psc for the warm welcome.
In a brief discussion with the General Rashad Mahmood the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP ndu psc touched on issues of re-building of infrastructure, resettlement, rehabilitation, reconciliation, and humanitarian assistance projects carried out in the Wanni and Anuradhapura region in parallel with the governments’ accelerated development projects.
An exchange of mementos after wards added monumental value to the Anuradhapura visit before he leave.
