THE CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY OF SPECIAL INFANTRY OPERATIONS REFRESHER COURSE NO 5.
Fifth Special Infantry Operations Refresher Course – 2017 was successfully completed at Battalion Training School 62 Division – Kalyanapura on 27 October 2017.\r\n\r\nThis course was initiated as per the concept and direction of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP USP ndu and the aim of this 30 days long refresher course is to revitalize the knowledge of selected personnel already qualified in Special Infantry Operations. Recording of the lessons learnt through conducting the case studies is one of co objects of sharing the experience among the participants.\r\n\r\nThe course was comprised with 02 Officers and 43 Other Ranks from 7 Sri Lanka SinhaRegiment, 11 Gamunu Watch, 22 Gajaba Regiment and 24 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. Resource panel instructors and officer instructors were organized by 62 Division.\r\n\r\nThe Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP USP ndu participated in the awarding ceremony as the chief guest. At the awarding ceremony, Sgt Ekanayake E M A was awarded as the best all-rounder and the best shooter was Lt A T M Silva while L/cpl Thilakarathne W M S B was awarded as the best physical fitness special infantryman.\r\n\r\nThe event was successfully culminated with the participation of General Officer Commanding of 54 Division Major General G J A W Galagamage, the General Officer Commanding,62 Division Brigadier Sanjaya Wanigasinghe RWP RSP USP, Brigade Commanders of all Brigades, Colonel General Staff - 62 Division, Commanding Officers of under command battalions to 62 Division, Officers and number of Other Ranks.\r\n
