THE CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY OF SPECIAL INFANTRY OPERATIONS REFRESHER COURSE NO 3 – 2017 HELD AT BATTALION TRAINING SCHOOL – KALYANAPURA
Third Special Infantry Operations Refresher Course – 2017 was successfully completed at Battalion Training School 62 Division – Kalyanapura on 15 June 2017.\r\n\r\nThis course was initiated as per the concept and direction of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General Ruwan Kulatunga and the object of this 30 days long refresher course is to revitalize the knowledge of selected personnel already qualified in Special Infantry Operations. Recording of the lessons learnt through conducting the case studies is one of co objects of sharing the experience among the participants.\r\n\r\nThe course was comprised with 03 Officers and 42 Other Ranks from 24 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 21 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 25 Gamunu Watch and 9 Gajaba Regiment. Resource panel instructors were organized by 62 Division while officer instructors were being provided by other under command Divisions of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).\r\n\r\nThe General Officer Commanding, 54 Division participated in the awarding ceremony as the chief guest. At the awarding ceremony, Captain T T Udugalage from 24 Sri Lanka Light Infantry was awarded as the best all-rounder and the best shooter while Lance Corporal Gunawardhana J A B M R S P from 21 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment was awarded as the best physical fitness special infantryman.\r\n\r\nThe event was successfully culminated with the participation of General Officer Commanding, 54 Division Brigadier Jayantha Senevirathne, the General Officer Commanding,62 Division Brigadier Sanjaya Wanigasinghe, Brigade Commanders of 622 and 623 Brigades, Colonel General Staff - 62 Division, Commanding Officers of under command battalions, Officers and number of Other Ranks.\r\n
