A CEREMONY OF AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS WAS HELD AT BUDDANGALA CENTRAL COLLEGE
Three scholarships were awarded for two students who achieved University entrance in 2016 and one undergraduate of faculty of commerce, University of Jaffna.\r\n\r\nThe scholarships were financially assisted by Dr Anura Rathnayake who studied at Buddangala Central College beginning at the 1990 s during the period of terrorist activities under the protection of government forces.\r\n\r\nThese students will be received Rs: 3000.00 worth of scholarships per month until they complete their University education.\r\n\r\nAt this event he emphasized the contribution made by the Sri Lanka Army towards the protection, development of livelihood and educational facilities given to them. Dr. Anura Rathnayake made a very inspirational speech to the audience highlighting the difficult time of his life journey.\r\n\r\nOn a request made by Dr. Anura Rathnayake through brigadier JB Galgamuwa (Rtd),The General Officer Commanding 62 Division Coordinated the event.\r\n\r\nGeneral Officer Commanding 62 Division Major General BHMA Wijesinghe USP ndu PSC ,the Commander 621 Brigades, Colonel PSK Sanjeewa RWP RSP USP, Brigadier JB Galgamuwa (Rtd) ,the Commanding Officer 14(v) Sri Lanka Light Infantry and the Commanding Officer 17 Sri Lanka national Guard were present at the occasion.\r\n\r\n
