A Christmas ceremony was held with the direction of GOC 61 Division Brig DMWWWRBM Daulagala RSP at the Headquarters 61 Division on 22 December 2013 from 1500Hrs to 1800 Hrs. 151 School children and 300 perants attended the ceremony. General Officer Commanding 61 Division Brig DMWWWRBM Daulagala RSP graced the occasion as the chief guest and gave away parcels of school items, sponsored by ‘THE FOUR SQUARE CHURCH’ Vavuniya, for 151 school children, selected from poor families in the area. School children and parents were served with refrshments. The ceremony was also consisted of Christmas carols and Dancing items performed by school children in the area. REV. P N Segar, The Senior Pastor of the Foursquare Church - Vavuniya and Mr. K Abrahim Ragulan with staff members of ‘THE FOUR SQUARE CHURCH’ Vavuniya also attended for the occasion. 611 and 613 Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers and 50 ORs were also attended the ceremony. The Santa Claus glamorized the ceremony entertaining the school children.
