24th Anniversary of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) which fall on 18th March 2022 was ceremonially conducted under guidance of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP and under the supervision of Brigadier Administration & Quartering Brigadier O M D Gunasinghe and Brigadier General Staff Brigadier D N J Fernando RSP USP of Security Forces (Wanni).
Coincided with the 24th Anniversary morning alms giving was offered on Rev. Priests on 17th March 2022 and in the evening Commander Security Forces (Wanni) placed the new Buddha statue in the Shrine Room and a Bodhi Pooja was conducted with the participation of all Officers and Other Ranks.
On 18th March 2022 a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour was conveyed to the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) and followed by a sapling was planted in the Camp Premises in order to symbolize the 24th Anniversary. Thereafter the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) addressed the all Officers and Other Ranks at Conference Hall. On the same day a lunch was arranged to the all ranks with the participation of Commander Security Forces (Wanni).
On 19th March 2022 a tea party was held for disabled soldiers at Abimansala - 1 and Commander Security Forces (Wanni) presented the gifts to them. In conclusion on account of the 24th Anniversary a musical concert was held at play ground.
